The textile and clothing industry has undergone dramatic structural change in recent <\/strong>decades. Nevertheless, the entire textile chain \u2013 from raw material to the finished garment or textile product \u2013 is still present in the region and with the intensive use of the circular <\/strong>economy the textile sector can take over the innovation leadership in the euregio rhinemeuse-north.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This Innovation Forum exemplifies how innovative euregional companies and a university of applied sciences can support and drive a textile-company\u2019s innovation process. Firstly, Frans Beckers, founder and owner of the dutch company FBBasic, shows how a
\ncompany can support and drive the innovation process, in particular in connection with the
\nconcept of circular economy.<\/p>\n

Secondly, Laura Kunze, project manager of the german company imat uve gmbh reports on a cross-border project on mixed fibre recycling. Finally, Prof. Dr. Rabe, head of the Research Institute for Textiles and Clothing (FTB), will give a keynote speech on the topic of \u201cRethinking the textile industry \u2013 shaping the future!\u201d.<\/p>\n
