As an entrepreneur, do you want to inspire, inform and make residents aware of sustainability? Then you can apply for a grant for this. Would you like to know more about this? Then read on.
Raising awareness about sustainability is not something the Municipality of Venlo does not do alone, but together with partners in society. With the Sustainable Initiative Subsidy, the municipality supports entrepreneurs. An example of an initiative is if, as an entrepreneur, you start with a smart way of recycling and organise a meeting about it.
What must an initiative meet?
To be eligible for the grant, the initiative must meet the following conditions:
- It contributes to Venlo circular and sustainable capital programme.
- Involves residents in organising activities.
- Raises awareness about sustainability among residents, businesses, associations and/or other bodies.
- Is valuable for residents, a district, neighbourhood, village or the living environment.
- Is results-oriented and expected costs are commensurate.
- It ensures cooperation between other partners in Venlo municipality or in the region.
Grant amount
For enterprises:
- The minimum grant is €250.
- The maximum amount of the grant is €5,000 per project.
- The promoter provides a financial contribution or co-financing from other funds.
- The grant will not exceed 50% of the total cost.
- As an entrepreneur, you can only receive subsidies on the unprofitable top of an activity. The unprofitable top is the financial contribution needed to cover the project.
