After a successful and valuable period, the chairman of Ondernemend Venlo, Lizbeth van den Boogaart, has announced her intention to step down at the end of 2024. After years of being active within the organisation, she has decided to focus on new challenges and further development in her career.
"This choice has not been easy for me, but I believe it is time for new perspectives, especially as my career is increasingly developing in the Eindhoven region," she said. She stresses that her connection with Venlo has always been strong and that she has enjoyed working with the committed volunteers and board members of Entrepreneurial Venlo.
Although she will step down as chairman as of the end of 2024, she will remain actively involved in the organisation's board until the end of 2025. She will mainly focus on activities around park management, such as safety, accessibility and greenery on the business parks. This transitional year will give Ondernemend Venlo time to find a successor and ensure the continuity of the organisation.
"I would like to thank everyone for the cooperation, trust and beautiful moments we have shared together. I look back fondly on my time as president," Lizbeth concludes.
Entrepreneurial Venlo will soon start a process to appoint a new chairman and will continue to be led by the remaining board members during that period.
