Are you an entrepreneur and want to reuse, repair or recycle products or materials with high quality? Or are you already doing this and want to expand these activities to reduce CO2 emit? Then apply for the Circular Implementing and Scaling Up (CIO) grant.
The CIO grant is there for you if your company wants to start using new technology or new process that will contribute to a circular economy in the Netherlands. Think of:
- Introduce a system of reusable cups at a takeaway restaurant. These cups would then replace disposable cups.
- Organise a total service for washable nappies (collection, washing, distribution) instead of disposable nappies.
- Expanding a clothing repair business. This company collects clothes from customers' homes and develops new types of textiles from them. For this, the company is expanding its IT and logistics system.
Your project must fall under one of these product groups of the Consumer goods transition agenda fall:
- electronic and electrical devices
- textile
- nappies and incontinence materials
- reusable cups and meal containers
- furniture

You will get 50% subsidy on costs incurred as an SME, 15% as a large company.
The grant is a minimum of €50,000 per application and a minimum of €25,000 per company.
And a maximum of €500,000.
