On Thursday 16 January 2025, Gilde Opleidingen will receive - as the first ROC in Limburg - the title of Euregio Profile School. This recognition is awarded by the Euregio Rhine-Maas North. The certificate symbolises international - Euroregion-oriented - education and cross-border cooperation. With it, Gilde Opleidingen strengthens mutual understanding in the euregion and offers our students extra perspectives on the international labour market.
Internationalisation in education with a focus on the Euroregion
Gilde Opleidingen is the vocational training provider in North and Central Limburg. With branches in the heart of the Euroregion, we believe it is very important to structurally integrate internationalisation into the educational programme. After all, studying and working does not stop at the border. Various activities and projects actively prepare students for an internationally oriented labour market and an intercultural society. Together with our partners across the border, such as the Rhein-Maas Berufskolleg in Kempen and the Berufskolleg Viersen, we actively work on various projects. In this way, we strengthen our euregional profile and encourage our students' orientation towards opportunities across the border. Not only students, but also employees develop skills such as language skills, intercultural sensitivity and flexibility that are of great value both professionally and personally.
Programme
The programme starts with a joint reception, followed by a welcome speech on behalf of Gilde Opleidingen and Euregio Rijn-Maas Noord. The Euregio Mingle sessions will then take place, with plenary feedback. The highlight of the afternoon is the festive presentation of the certificate by the Euregio Rhine-Meuse North. A wonderful recognition for our commitment and vision of cross-border cooperation in education. Followed by a joint visit to the Gilde Opleidingen Winterfair, which has a special Euroregional touch this year.
