INVITATION for July 8 2025
On behalf of the Fontys Euregional Sustainability Center in Venlo and the project #dzr I digital.zirkulär.ruhr at Hochschule Ruhr West (HRW) in Bottrop Germany, we would like to invite you to: An exclusive LAB-TOUR to the Circular Digital Economy Lab (CDEL) and the HRW-FabLab in Bottrop (Germany).
Goal of the excursion is to exchange knowledge and practices in the field of Digitalization & Circular Economy between German and Dutch participants and strengthen the ties for more future collaboration in this field between NRW and The Netherlands.
What can you expect at the LAB-TOUR?
- Inspiration about how to use digital technologies to enable the Circular Economy e.g. in SMEs
- Knowledge exchange and networking with the HRW and other participants
- Creating ideas for cooperation and projects
- Overview about HRW’s activities in the field of (digital) Circular Economy as a contribution to a sustainable regional structural change in the (northern) Ruhr Area
- CDEL: demonstration on automated disassembly of electronic waste using artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, among other things
- HRW-FabLab: Lab-tour on several digital fabrication technologies such as additive manufacturing/ 3D printing and 3D scanning; industrial design etc.
WHEN: 8 July 2025 from 9.30 – 16.00 h
WHERE: departure @ 9.30 a.m. by touring car from Fontys Venlo, Tegelseweg 255 Venlo (in case of own transportation arrival at 10.30 at: Hochschule Ruhr West (HRW), Standort Prosper III, Carl-Heinz-Stephan-Straße 1, 46236 Bottrop, Germany)
LANGUAGE: the language spoken during the event at HRW will be English
