Port Vision newsletter

The Venlo municipality published the fourth edition of its newsletter on developments in the port area in December.

This December edition features:
- The expansion of the Barge Terminal commissioned in 2022;
- Venlo hub realisation pact. The development of the Venlo logistics hub as an above-average logistics hub in the Netherlands;
- Delta Rhine corridor. An underground pipeline strip running from Rotterdam via Venlo to Chemelot and the German border;
- The North Bank as a possible expansion area for the current industrial port;
- Improving and making safer Eindhovenseweg - Groot Boller intersection;
- The possibility of building a road on the existing (emergency) embankment for emergency services or evacuations in case of an emergency;
- Research on industrial port sustainability (EU Horizon 2020 PIONEERS Ports);
- The results of the study Sustainable Developments Goals;
- Venlo port's ecological footprint;
- The feasibility study for the realisation of shore power and other facilities for barges and cruise ships docking in Venlo ports;
- Reconnaissance dyke improvement Blerick - Grootboller
