VENLO - There have been a few things in the news over the past week regarding the handling of flood damage 2021. LWV reported on this in a newsletter. They announced that an information meeting would be organised. This is not possible so far as the Ministry of Justice and Security is still working on some concrete points. More news will come out soon. If you are interested in this, LWV can contact you. There may be a digital meeting with information provision together with Ondernemend Venlo. LWV would also like to assist you with experts regarding claiming damages (in local meetings or perhaps case handling).
The positive news is that the WTS has now been officially ratified in this with an accompanying ministerial regulation, as well as the NOW and TVL. Also positive is that Minister Grapperhaus is providing room for consultation on the excluded turnover damages. This was explicitly excluded in the explanatory memorandum to the WTS. However, through lobbying, he managed to start consultations on this in the fourth quarter. As you can see from the information via the links below, it makes quite a difference to the compensation for damage which category of damage it concerns and how to justify it. Hence our offer to assist in this regard.
