What do you get subsidy for?
The Climate Accord states that by 2050, the Netherlands wants to have an energy system with zero CO2 emissions. This grant focuses on the goals of the Climate Agreement. Your innovative solution must contribute to these climate goals on time and substantially. Therefore, your consortium of collaborating parties must develop this innovative solution in mutual cohesion. Your consortium brings together all relevant disciplines and perspectives. Entrepreneurs, scientists, civil society organisations and stakeholders have an eye for technical and societal factors and opportunities.

Through this mission-oriented, comprehensive approach, the likelihood of real-world application of innovations increases.

To get a grant, your project must meet at least the following conditions:

  • You have a partnership with at least 3 companies that will carry out the project. These must not be linked together in a group.
  • In your project, you develop the solutions and innovations in a clearly coherent approach. These focus on the goals of the Climate Agreement. The parties bring their different expertise and perspectives together in a mostly cross-sectoral partnership. Such as innovative SMEs and stakeholders. Stakeholders include, for example, suppliers, customers, users and local parties.
  • You make a proposal for an innovation plan that includes concrete, SMART-defined milestones (SMART: Specific, Measurable, Acceptable, Realistic, Time-bound). With this, we track progress.
  • Your project has at least €2 million in costs covered by the grant (eligible costs).
  • Research organisations do not incur more than 50% of eligible costs.
  • The grant is a minimum of €25,000 for each participant.
  • The grant is up to €4 million for your overall project.

MOOI is one of the Top Sector Energy's grants for energy innovation. This means that for this grant, you must also meet the general conditions that apply to all Top Sector Energy schemes.
