On Monday 13 May next, the MBO Council and SBB will organise the Excellence Gala. A jury will then choose the best MBO student in the Netherlands. At this event, the overall winners of the election best learning company and best practice trainer will also be announced.
By helping to train students, recognised learning companies are a textbook example for the industry. By allowing MBO students to complete the practical part of their training at an SBB-accredited training company, these training companies make an important contribution to the future of craftsmanship.
For best learning company 2024, the following Venlo companies have been nominated:
- Caspar de Haan maintenance and renovation B.V. for the Engineering and built environment sector:
- Systemec B.V. for the ICT and creative industry sector
- Volvo Rutten Venlo for the mobility, transport, logistics and maritime sector
With the election of the best training company and the best practical trainer in the Netherlands, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and SBB draw attention to the 250,000 recognised training companies and over 300,000 practical trainers for MBO students. With internships and apprenticeships, they account for a considerable part of the training time of the 500,000 MBO students.
On 13 May next, it will be announced whether the three Venlo companies are among the winners. Should they win, they may call themselves best training company or best practical trainer in the Netherlands for a year.
