This year, six proud entrepreneurs from Beesel, Reuver, Belfeld, Kessel, Baarlo and Maasbree are opening their doors to the public. From juicy strawberries to colourful hydrangeas and unique vegetable seeds: this day promises to be a feast for all your senses.

Unique look into greenhouse farming
Kom in de Kas is the annual event where the Dutch greenhouse farming sector opens its doors wide. At our province this year, we are shining the spotlight on six companies along the Meuse Route Limburg. The participants will show you how they work with passion, craftsmanship and innovation to produce fresh, healthy, green and colourful products. During the event, you are welcome to taste, smell and experience what is growing and flourishing in their greenhouses. Or whether you are a garden lover, looking for a fun outing with your family or just curious about where your food comes from, kom in de Kas has something for everyone.
Six entrepreneurs, six stories
Let us introduce you to this edition's participants. Any company has its own speciality and a unique story worth discovering.
1. Brookberries - Elshoutweg 28, Belfeld
Do you like strawberries? Dan don't miss Brookberries! This modern company grows the juiciest, sweetest strawberries you have ever tasted. At their greenhouses, you can see how they use clever techniques to deliver top quality all year round.
2. Bejo - Offenbekerweg 3A, Reuver
At Bejo, everything revolves around the basis of our food: seeds. This company is known worldwide as a breeder of vegetable seeds, from carrots to onions. During Kom in de Kas, you will discover how they work with precision and innovation to produce the vegetables of tomorrow. A fascinating look at the future of agriculture!
3. Bouten Nursery - Ouddorp 9, Beesel
Colourful bedding plants are the speciality of Kwekerij Bouten. Think cheerful pansies, petunias and other flowers that brighten up your garden or balcony. Step into their world and see how these plants are grown with care, ready to beautify your surroundings.
4. Stals Nursery - Rijksweg 42, Kessel
Hydrangeas, lavender, begonias and geraniums: Nursery Stals is a paradise for garden plant lovers. Here you will discover how these plants grow from cutting to flowering beauty. Be inspired by the beautiful colours and scents this nursery has to offer.
5. Tree nursery Coonen - Op den Bosch 10, Baarlo

6. From den Elzen Plants - Vlasrooth 9C, Maasbree

Not to be missed
Kom in de Kas is more than a tour of greenhouses. The is a chance to see how hard people work to provide us with food and beauty. The entrepreneurs share their knowledge and show you how they respond to themes such as sustainability, technology and biodiversity. There are often fun activities for children, such as plant pots or a scavenger hunt, while adults can enjoy demonstrations and tastings. The is a day full of wonder, inspiration and appreciation for the people who keep our region green.
