Ministry of Justice and Security visiting

23 February 2024

On 21 February 2024 at Ondernemend Venlo, Cybercrime and Undermining experts, under the guidance of Platform Veilig Ondernemen (PVO) Limburg, were welcomed by chairman Lizbeth van den Boogaart and park manager Lidy Rutten. It is generally known that Ondernemend Venlo is extremely active, but the fact that during this meeting the #VenloCyberbewust pilot project could be presented to experts in the field of Cybercrime and Undermining was also very special for us.

The presentation discussed the benefits of the #KVO and what actions are taken in case of an incident or worse a calamity such as high water and a fire. There was also a tour of the business parks of Ondernemend Venlo. The invitees were surprised, as they had never realised that there is a port and even housing for migrant workers. The visit to the Voltastraat, where 9 companies burned down, also made a deep impression.
At ZeroPlex there was a reception with, of course, flan! Rick van Dijk gave a fascinating presentation on the pilot. There was plenty of time to ask questions back and forth, which was well used. Park manager Lidy, for instance, had a few more requests concerning the KVO, which will undoubtedly be followed up!

Ondernemend Venlo is proud of the 'VenloCyberbewust' team, which was put together by park manager Lidy. We therefore thank Jeroen Duijsens, Peter Cox (both from PVO), Rick van Dijk (IT: Zeroplex) and Dennis Cuijpers MSc RE (legal: Koenen and Co).

In the upcoming edition of the magazine O.Venlo, you can read more about this visit by the experts, how the Safety Region Limburg-Noord and emergency services experience events at business parks and the cooperation in this regard. There is also an article in the magazine about an entrepreneur who talks about how he experienced the fire on Voltastraat.
