Strong in collective thinking

COLUMN: Nicky Verhaagh

Looking back on my first hundred days as park manager at Entrepreneurial Venlo, I especially experienced that the members are strong in collective thinking and are proud of Venlo. Because whether it is about improving the business parks, regional branding, circu-larity or another common interest, it is very special that so many entrepreneurs are willing to think about this and want to take extra steps leading to new initiatives. I am thrilled to be able to contribute to this in my new role.

Looking towards the near future, I can tell you that we as Entrepreneurial Venlo are going to renew our communication channels in the coming months, to be able to inform our members about what we are doing in an even better way. Digitalisation will play an important role in this. We will work with an integrated communication platform, enabling us to communicate more efficiently and centrally with all our members and stakeholders. Everything around Ondernemend Venlo, from news to events and projects, can be found in one handy app. The information needs of members are central to this: entrepreneurs can indicate themselves on this new platform what and via which channel they want to be informed, so they no longer need to check all information channels each time they want to know something. AI will also play an important role in this in the near future.

I believe that by investing in digitalisation and smart AI solutions, we make Venlo even more attractive to entrepreneurs and investors. We profile ourselves as a city where innovation and cooperation are key and where companies can rely on a strong network and modern facilities. Digitalisation helps not only to make business parks more efficientbut also to put Venlo more strongly on the map regionally and nationally as the place to do business successfully. We will launch the new member platform at the beginning of the second quarter, simultaneously with the introduction of a new, fresh house style and a new website. I am looking forward to it!
