Following works by Rijkswaterstaat, viaduct Heierhoeve in Venlo, where N556 (Eindhovenseweg) crosses the A67, will be closed. The closure will take place from Monday 8 April 6:00 am to Friday 12 April 18:00 pm.
In the first months of 2024, the province of Limburg and the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (RWS) found that the current joints between the concrete of the Heierhoeve viaduct in Venlo and adjacent land no longer meet current traffic volumes and situation. It was therefore decided to completely replace the joint crossings at the viaduct. This cannot prevent the viaduct, with the 2 lanes to the north and south and both cycle paths on it, from being completely closed to all traffic.
This involves work activities at the viaduct where the N556 (Eindhovenseweg) crosses over the A67 near slip road 39. See Google Maps location. Suitable diversion routes will of course be set up for this closure. Work on the N556 will take place from 8 to 12 April.
