Our joint ambition for the coming years, inspiring speakers and concrete cases in the field of circularity were discussed last Tuesday during the Venlo Circular Hotspot kick-off event. We hope the attendees went home inspired. Thanks to their presence and contribution, we look back on a fruitful afternoon.
Inspiring key notes
David Peck explained why Venlo in particular should become THE Circular Hotspot. Download here his presentation and let his story sink in again. The Raw Critical Materials Act is important in this; you have 1,300 working days to go to meet the set targets.

Open Brains sessions
The Open Brains sessions featured four local, circular cases with concrete challenges:
- Orange Blend | Towards a waste-free coffee concept
- Nijsen Company | How can waste be processed into useful raw materials?
- Pallet Control Tower | Saving materials and fuel through small pallet management
- Pharox | Development of a product passport for circular materials
Based on the discussions at the session with Pharox, it emerged that there is an opportunity for a number of companies present to participate in a pilot. They are currently working on a project proposal, which will be submitted on 15 December next. Are you interested in this pilot or would you like to know more about the product Passport?
